A Sweet Intro

This blog is dedicated to our darling boy, born prematurely at 29 weeks and miraculously survived all odds during his 57 days in the ICU. We named him Reagan, which means our "Little King", strong and brave enough to fight any battles. He is also our little king whom we worship with a lifetime of our love and kisses. Baby Reagan continues to amaze us with his awesome strength, big personality, joyful laughter and lovely smiles. This is where we share both our learning journeys and all the fun bonding time together.

HIs first trip to Sentosa - Cable car ride, Butterfly park & 4D Adventureland

Flying insects give me the creeps , and so I'm proud that my boy is not afraid of the butterflies at all, and with daddy's help, he attempted to pick it up....(to scare his poor mama with it...)
We had the tickets for the birds-feeding session and were very looking forward to it, but the staff there told us that their birds had already eaten a lot and asked us to come back another time...*rolled eyes*
Well, at least my baby boy gets to have a feel on the scaly skin of the monitor lizard!
Touring around the insects museum
At first we wondered if baby boy is too young to take the ride of the 4D show, but since the staff did not stop this preggy and her baby boy from entering the theatre, I guess it's quite safe for us then. I wanted to get an extra 3D glasses for baby Reagan but then I realised it does not fit well on his face, anyway he refused to put it on as well. I don't know if he enjoyed the 4D show on the screen, but I think it's quite amusing to see him clinging onto the moving seat and having cold air and water squirting right into his face haha! Another interesting experience for him !

Baby Reagan was completely exhausted and K.O immediately during our cable car ride back. Maybe it's the weekend or holiday month, Sentosa is so crazily crowded today! We cant even find any unoccupied tables from any of the nearby cafes or fastfood place for us to take a short rest. This reminds me again to only visit during the weekdays, especially to these places of interests. It was an extreme tiring trip today, but the smiles on our baby boy's face made everything so worth it.

December Home Activities

Besides his daily dose of flashcards and words reading, I've been doing more hand-on activities with him this holiday month, especially when his enrichment classes have ended and I've more time spent together with him at home.

We mainly did activities like...
working with paint, crayons stickers, playdoh, tracing with maker, matching numbers and alphabets.
Reagan enjoys every session and he is able to follow instructions and complete each activity well.
I hope to work on more right-brain activities with him again, such as memory games, tanagram, mandala, foreign language and etc. Probably next month onwards I shall try to focus on these areas.

Decorating the Xmas tree

Baby Reagan has been pretty obsessed with the flashy and glittery Xmas trees this year Christmas. Each time he spots an Xmas tree, he would excitedly pull me towards it , and attempt to pull down all the ornaments from the tree haha! Therefore Hubs decided to get him a mini one for him to play with at home. He simply adores his very own tree that he decorated together with mummy.

My little elf busy decorating his tree
He finished putting up the ornaments onto the tree and started clapping for himself haha!!

Well, the next minute, he attempts to tear down the whole tree again and I've to stop him from destroying it, at least till Christmas arrives.

Playdate with Imm & KoKo

Puzzles, legos, flashcards, snacks and showing each other some affections....it's such a pleasant feeling to watch how the kids learn to interact and play nicely together.
And it makes me feel more confident that Reagan will be glad to enjoy the companionship of his sibling coming soon....

JG Playnest, Reagan's last lesson

This week the teachers put up a puppet show for the kids and everyone enjoyed the short skit.
The colour theme is grey and Reagan gets to play with grey paint mixed with flour.
Feeling the cold and lumpy texture of the grey dough.
Playing with his classmates

It's a pity that Reagan missed his last week of lesson due to a high fever after our cruise trip. Sadly, he didn't get to enjoy the class's Xmas party and be inside the class photo too. However, he is promoted to the Bilingual Playnest next year, and I know he can't wait to continue his class after the term break.

A Short Visit To The Zoo

My poor baby boy has been sick for the past week and skipped the entire week of his Julia Gabriel class. I knew he wanted to go to school so badly as he has been making me sing all his favorite songs he learnt in school and trying to put on his shoes, signalling to me that he wants to go out.  Baby Reagan seemed to feel better last Sunday, so we decided to bring him to the zoo to cheer him up. However it began to drizzle not long after we reached and my boy began coughing and dripping mucus again. We decided to cut short our trip and I promised baby Reagan that we will bring him back again once he has fully recovered. Below are some of the photos taken at the zoo...
